Introduction
The Sky’s Glow is an animated short film created as a graduation project at Bezalel. It bridges two moments in time: a letter written by Zohara LeBituv in 1948, just before the founding of the State of Israel, and the personal emotions I experienced in response to contemporary events. The film explores an inner tension: how do we remain connected to a place that is dear and meaningful, while also facing alienation, fear, and uncertainty? Zohara LeBituv’s historical letter becomes an anchor, a mirror, and a testimony that one does not always need to choose between love and critique, or between belonging and pain.
